Image divided in half by two triangles. One half is a blue sky and the other half is a Redbud tree in full blue. The sky is completely bright blue with the tree covered in beautiful pink and white blooms. The image is very balanced and seems almost mathematically calculated in its division. The flowers on the tree almost completely cover the limbs but there are a few spots where the wooden limbs show through. The buds are popping open in all directions, almost appearing as if they are taking flight from the tree into the sky. Everything appears to be “popping with color”.

This site is filled with both visual and written expressions I’ve created while navigating everything from hobbies to health issues. My ever rotating inspirations and techniques are how I find purpose and a practice that promotes inner peace. These peace projects are meditations that require great focus to visualize an image on the page and then literally draw it into the physical realm. This action quiets my multiple and simultaneous inner monologues.

 

Art for me, is a form of therapy and meditation. It’s a welcomed dissociative break that feels like the closest link to clear consciousness and a singular voice. As I’ve shared my story, I’m meeting others who identify with how I experience the world too. So, I decided to increase my transparency about my experiences and allow accessibility to these pieces by creating this space
