Hey, It’s good to see you.

Busler | Made: Artist Interview
Who are you?
You can call me Busler (Bus-ler), I’m a well practiced doodler who likes to process experiences and emotions through art. I love science, human anatomy, meditating and nature. If you’d like to learn a little more about me and what I’m up to, keep reading.
How Do you like to spend you free time?
My hobbies vary depending on my wellness and time of year. When I’m most balanced, I’m out in the gardens inspecting insects and plants. I enjoy walks with my dog, hanging out at a coffee shop with friends and thrifting for new treasures. On more challenging days, I rest up while watching my favorite movies, sketching and journaling. I enjoy tooling around, fixing things and learning how things work too. I’m very curious about anatomy, nature & homesteading. I love spending time with friends & family, it’s when I feel most whole.
Did you go to art school?
Yep. I graduated from Bowling Green State University many years ago with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with focus on 3-D studies. Also, I earned an Associate of Science degree. My past art experience is primarily in the field of metal, art glass and ceramics. I’ve had smaller projects that included welding, printmaking, drawing and photography too.

You’re complex, medically complex…
Yes, a very qualified and trusted friend deemed me a Medical Unicorn. I live in and navigate a body with brain hiccups and miscommunication. My autonomic nervous system disorder, overactive immune system and obsessive compulsive disorder make for an interesting mix. The short list is my heart can act wacky, I get brain fog, hives and sometimes have trouble swallowing or breathing. I’ve got a lot going for me and I play whack-a-mole with my symptoms daily. I use these frequent opportunities and inspirations to create and represent my own version of medical and anatomy art.
